Summertime!

It's finally getting hot and muggy here in Indiana. It's been a very cool summer up to now. Mom and Dad are putting up sweet corn today, so be looking forward to that yummy goodness at the next Holiday gathering!! :)

We've been keeping busy around here. Going to the lake has been the most fun. Jack loves to ride in the tube and Uncle Mark's boat. We also have been exploring the local parks and trails. Jack had swim lessons last month at our neighborhood pool. This class was just a 'get used to the water' class, and he did a great job! He can now dunk under the water all by himself and can jump off the side of the pool without help. He also learned how to kick on a kickboard and blow bubbles in the water.

Jack and I just got back from the Indiana State Fair. We went with Grandma and Grandpa Glunt and this year, we rode the Fair Train! Jack could hardly contain himself when we were waiting for the train. The train departed from Fishers and it was about 30 minutes to get to the Fairgrounds. We had lots of fun looking at all the animals, playing mini-golf, 'working' in the garden, riding the Tractor Tram around the grounds, and of course, eating!!

This month we're slowly starting to get ready for school to start back up. Jack will be in his 2nd year at Emmanuel United Methodist Pre-school. He will go Tuesdays and Thursdays again, from 9am-1pm. He is very excited to get back to school. (so is mom!!!)

This week, Jack is spending a few days with both sets of grandparents. Frist off to Grandma and Grandpa Glunt's, then off to the lake with Mimi and Papa Ortman! He is so excited! Mommy and Daddy are having some out of town guests in and going to a 4 day game convention in Indianapolis.

We are also planning a trip to Holiday World in September that I'm sure we'll have lots of pictures to share when that time comes!

Enjoy all of the pictures!
