Jack must have been a good boy this year......
Santa must have thought Jack was a very good boy this year! As well as, his grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and us! :) Jack made out like a bandit at Christmas. Here are the highlights. [edit]- the 'highlights' turned out to be longer than I thought... sorry!
Great-Grandma Dunn's Christmas.
We went to Great-Grandma Dunn's to celebrate on the Sunday before Christmas. Jack had fun playing with his second cousin, Justin, and his cousin, Lily. Here, Jack received tractors, a coloring book, and a tool set.
Mimi and Papa Ortman's Christmas:
On Christmas Eve, we went over to the Ortman's. Jack had so much fun playing with his cousin, Parks. They are 2 peas in a pod, that's for sure. We know we are in trouble when they start telling each other..."Parks, come here....I've got a plan!" Jack had fun helping Uncle Todd pass out the presents to everyone. Some of his favorite presents included, Cars road rug, Spongebob (Lunchbox) Squarepants Ants in the Pants game, a tent and sleeping bag, Kung Fu Panda movie, Wow Wow Wubbzy movie, and his remote control car.
Mommy and Daddy also received some very nice gifts and we all are thankful that we are part of such a wonderful family! We had such a nice time visiting. But, we had to go home to get ready for SANTA!
Jack got home and put out Santa's cookies and milk. He wanted to stay right by the plate and not go to bed. After some persuasion, he finally went to bed! Mom and Dad were glad, 'cause Santa had work to do!
Christmas Morning.
Jack was very sleepy when he woke up. He was more interested in playing with last nights gifts instead of opening up his new gifts!! We finally got him focused and he was excited to get his tractor and bobcat from Santa. For those of you who don't know, a Tractor and bobcat have been on the wish list since day 1.
The big present of the day was Jack's new TRAIN TABLE! He was so excited to open it and spent the rest of the morning playing with it. (in fact, he's playing with it right now).
For lunch, we traveled to Sheridan to have Christmas Lunch at my Uncle Mike and Aunt Ginny's. They have just moved in to their new home! They bought my grandparent's old house, and remodeled it. It looks so nice! And we all fit!!
After a WONDERFUL meal, the cousin's all played the first annual Steal the Present game, and we had a blast!! Some of the highlights included: a Redneck calendar, hangers, a Bathroom reader calendar, and the most popular gift was a soft throw blanket!
Jack also got some very nice things as well! Some stuffed animals, coloring book, a Christmas and a Shrek book, and a Spiderman sleeping bag.
Mamaw and Papaw Glunt's Christmas:
The day after Christmas we headed back to Sheridan to have Christmas with the Glunt's! Lily and Jack played together and helped pass out the gifts. Jack was pretty tired of opening gifts by this point. He opened about 2 gifts and decided that playing with toys was more fun! But we finally got him persuaded to come back in and he finished opening.
Jack got some videos (John Deere being one of them), a couple of tractors, some clothes, and a play mat with roads on it for his cars.
Mamaw and Papaw were also kind enough to watch Jack while Matt and I did some shopping in the afternoon. We had to make a couple of exchanges and then spend some of our Christmas money (of course!).
We had SUCH a wonderful Christmas this year. Jack really enjoyed everything and 'got' Santa. This made it so much more fun for Matt and I. We all received such wonderful gifts and we hope that everyone out there had a wonderful Christmas as well!
